April 22 (UPI) — Grammy-winning singer Shania Twain will host the Academy of Country Music Awards for the first time.

The Academy of Country Music announced in a press release Wednesday that Twain, 60, will host the 61st annual awards show May 17 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The ACM Awards honor achievements in country music and will stream live at 8 p.m. ET on Prime Video and Amazon Music.

“I’m thrilled to be hosting the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas, a place that feels like home,” Twain said in a statement. “It’s such an honor to be part of this incredible night celebrating country music’s biggest stars, especially with so many talented women leading nominations this year. I can’t wait to welcome all of the fans and artists out for this unforgettable night.”

Twain, the top-selling female country-pop artist of all time, concluded her Come on Over residency show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas in 2025.
