Ben Carson: Rubio 2016 Push Won’t Influence My Decision

In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” on Friday, former Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon and possible 2016 presidential candidate Ben Carson reacted to the news Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is on the verge of pursuing a 2016 presidential run of his own.

According to Ben Carson, it won’t impact his decision in anyway.

“No, sir, it doesn’t do that at all,” Carson said. “You know, I’m very meticulous. I’m a surgeon. All the i’s have to be dotted, all the t’s have to be crossed. And you don’t change that just because somebody else made an announcement. I’m glad to see people are getting in. The more the merrier, because it’s so critical that we have the right candidate in 2016. Making an error and allowing another progressive to get in who can appoint two or three more Supreme Court judges would have a profound effect on what America becomes.”
