Donald Trump at Summit: Obamacare a ‘Filthy Lie,’ Can Build ‘A Beauty’ of a Border Fence

“Washington is broken and our country is in serious trouble and total disarray,” said Donald Trump at the Iowa Freedom Summit on Saturday. There is a reason for America’s demise, the real estate and construction mogul informed: “Politicians are all talk and no action. And it’s constant it never ends.”

Trump presented himself as a conservative, “very conservative” and as a Republican, but admitted that he is “very disappointed”  with Republican politicians. The crowd shared the sentiment and gave “The Donald” a huge round of applause.

Trump says the GOP has let the president “get away with absolute murder.” He pointed to Obamacare as a “total catastrophe.” A good doctor friend of Trump tells him that he has “more accountants than he has patients.” Trump’s friend is closing his business and it “is happening more and more,” he lamented. “Just look at Obamacare with a five billion dollar website. I have many, many websites, all over the place. I got them for ten dollars,” he said mockingly.

“Everything about Obamacare is a lie, a filthy lie,” Trump insists. Yet, Republicans don’t hold anyone accountable for the deceit. “Your deductibles are going through the roof,” he complained. “People that had plans that they loved, that they really loved, they are not going to have those plans anymore. It’s a real disaster. So someone has got to repeal Obamacare and do it fast.”

Trump then moved to one of his favorite topics building a fence for our Southern border. The mention of the subject prompted uproarious applause from the Iowans present at the Hoyt Sherman Place auditorium. “Now we have to build a fence. And it would have to be a beauty. Who can build better than Trump. I build that’s what I do,” he said matter-of-factly. “I build, I build great fences. I build great buildings. But fences are easy, believe me!”

Trump reminded his audience that the people coming into the country are not high class individuals, to say the least.  “It’s so unfair. It’s so incompetent. We don’t have the best coming in, we have criminals, we have people that are crooks, we have terrorists, we have Islamic terrorists…and we don’t do anything about it,” he asserted. “And if I run, and if I win, I would certainly start by building a very, very powerful border fence.”
