New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is firing back after news that the State Department declared 22 emails in Hillary Clinton’s private email server are Top Secret – and won’t be released.

During a town hall in Iowa yesterday, Christie said the news was proof that Clinton had lied to the American people.

“Now didn’t she look us in the eye and tell us that there was not a bit of classified information on her personal server?” Christie asked. “She has now definitively, without any question, lied to us.”

During a press conference in March, Hillary Clinton insisted that she did not send any classified material on her private email – which was stored in a private server.

“I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email. There is no classified material,” she said. “So I’m certainly well-aware of the classification requirements and did not send classified material.”

Christie recalled a Clinton town hall event earlier in the week, where she tried to excuse her behavior to a voter as a matter of “convenience.”

She said she did it for her own convenience. She put national security at risk for her convenience. She put the lives of intelligence officers at risk for her convenience. She put the security of our homeland at risk for her convenience. That should disqualify you from being president of the United States. That should end the conversation.
