A Georgia man was arrested for alleged underage drinking in a local bar, but being stinking drunk was not the only thing for which he was arrested. The 20-year-old was also accused of spraying an entire bottle of novelty “fart spray” on patrons and stinking up the place, police say.

Police in Athens, Georgia, arrested Blake Zengo at the Whiskey Bent bar at around 1:30 a.m. after bar patrons were reportedly annoyed at his raucous behavior and his insistence on spraying everyone with the fart spray.

When officers arrived on the scene, the bar was emptying as patrons emerged holding their noses and complaining of the smell.

In their report, Athens police said that “several patrons of Whiskey Bent began to leave quickly while making comments about how bad it stunk inside the bar.”

Upon investigation, officers stated, they discovered Zengo in possession of a can of “Liquid Ass,” a noxious novelty trick meant to simulate the smell of human flatulence and feces.

As The Kansas City Star reported, the novelty spray is described as a “genuine, foul butt-crack smell.”

On its website, the manufacturer of the spray explained, “Once unleashed, this power-packed, super-concentrated liquid begins to evaporate, filling the air with a genuine, foul butt-crack smell with hints of dead animal and fresh poo.”

Police said one woman, who eventually decided not to press charges, was even sprayed in the face with the foul-smelling liquid.

The suspect, a University of Georgia student, was “very inebriated” and “slurring his words,” according to police.

The Athens Banner-Herald reported that Zengo was charged with disorderly conduct and underage drinking. He was released on a $1,500 bond.
