New Orleans Police indicate a resident took away an intruder’s gun Thursday and shot him with it.

NOLA reports that 37-year-old Bradford Crier allegedly entered a home around 2:55 a.m. while armed. A 44-year-old male and 52-year-old woman were home at the time and the male resident wrestled Crier for control of the firearm. Crier was shot twice as the two men wrestled, once in the shoulder and once in the thigh.

4WWL reports that Crier was taken to a hospital for medical treatment but the man and woman were unharmed.

Upon released from the hospital Crier will be taken to “Orleans Parish Justice Center for two counts of aggravated burglary and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic abuse battery.”
