MEMPHIS—Breitbart Sport caught up with Oklahoma City Thunder forward and former Duke standout Kyle Singler while in Memphis to discuss the NCAA Men’s Final Four.

Duke and Michigan State tips off the Final Four on Saturday in Indianapolis. Duke plays as a 5.5 point favorite according to Las Vegas.

Asked what Duke playing in the Final Four means to him, Singler said, “I’m proud of those dudes. I never played with any of them but I know a few of them. To kind of sit back and hear about the team and how close they are and their journey makes you proud.”

Michigan State is the only non-#1 seed left in the tournament. Singler said that there’s no extra pressure in playing a lower seed, adding that his Duke team played lower seeds in the tournament and that it was never talked about.

“Once you make it to the Final Four, you’re playing good basketball teams so what more pressure [could there be]? Once you get to the championship game then you can talk about the pressure.

“I like the matchup against Michigan State. I think they’ll play them well and I do think it’s going to be a Duke/Kentucky championship. That’s the game people will want to see.”

When asked if he thinks Duke can beat undefeated Kentucky, Singler commented, “It’s gonna be a good game. I think they can. I think they have good matchups. The Justise Winslow kid, in my opinion, is kind of the X-factor. If he plays like he’s been playing then Duke’s really tough to beat.”

The NCAA men’s championship game will be held on Monday.
