As the nation prepares for Super Bowl LII to kickoff, the cameras of TMZ caught rapper Cardi B saying she wouldn’t agree to perform at a Super Bowl until the NFL hires Colin Kaepernick back.

TMZ’s crew were waiting for the Grammy nominee to enter the Maxim Party in Minneapolis, and as she headed for the door she was asked when fans might expect her to perform during a Super Bowl halftime show.

But the former gang member and stripper said she would not perform for the NFL until the league meets her one requirement: “When they hire Colin Kaepernick back,” she said as she was ushered into the club.

This is far from the first time that the “Bodak Yellow” singer has spoken up for the former San Francisco 49er second-string quarterback who has been left un-signed after inventing the national anthem protest in 2016.

In one case, the rapper gave a shout out to Kaepernick during the 2017 VMAs, telling Kaeprnick, “as long as you kneel with us, we gonna be standing for you, baby.” Cardi B repeated her support for the former NFL player in an interview with Billboard where she also took a swipe at “carrot face” President Donald Trump for his criticism of the NFL for refusing to force players to stand in respect for the country during the playing of the national anthem.
