North Dakota State Player Wore Democratic Socialists pin at the White House

A member of the North Dakota State Bisons football team, wore a socialist pin on his jacket when the Division II champs visited the White House on Monday.

Jack Albrecht, a guard, wore the pin of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and posted several pics of himself wearing it in the White House.

The pin displays a red rose, above a white hand and a black hand.

According to the Hill,Facebook post from the local chapter featured the same images Albrecht shared on Twitter, “Democratic socialism is for every worker on earth,” the post read. ‘You, me and 6-5, 275lb champion offensive linemen invited to the White House.’

“There are roughly 60,000 card-carrying DSA members spread across the country in more than 300 local groups.”

“Albrecht is a member of the Red River Valley chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America,” the Hill reports.
