Australian rugby star Quade Cooper took some time off from training to get his hands on an NFL match ball with astounding results.

The 32-year-old Australian representative set up a team mate to start heading downfield when he stepped up to play quarterback. Cooper then delivered the pass from behind his back right into the hands of the charging makeshift receiver.

The clip gained traction in Australia and then picked up speed across the globe as well with some American commentators wondering if Cooper is in line for the vacant New England quarterback position left vacant after Tom Brady’s move to Tampa Bay.

Cooper is usually based in Japan where he plays with local professional rugby side Kintetsu.

He is currently in his home town of Brisbane waiting for professional leagues to reopen after the coronavirus pandemic subsides.
