Physicians Predict ‘BREXIT’ From Medicare

According to a Medscape Medical News survey, four of 10 physicians in solo or small group practices say the new payment system under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) will lead to many physicians dropping out as Medicare providers because of its “punishing penalties,” the survey notes.

Nationwide Medicare Drug Funding Cuts Decided By Unelected Bureaucrats

The Medicare drug payment rule is significant in several ways, perhaps most important of which is that it is yet another Obama use of the “administrative state,” sometimes referred to as the fourth branch of government, to “make” laws. Once again, as with Obamacare, illegal immigration, and, most recently, gender ideology executive action – to name just a few – Obama and his deputies are attempting an end run around Congress, “making” laws for Americans.

What A Waste: HHS Throwing Away Billions on Medicare

A new report from the Inspector General for the Health and Human Services Department faults the agency for missing its target of keeping fraudulent Medicare payments below ten percent. Marco Rubio Proposes Refundable Tax Credits to Replace ObamaCare

What Rubio outlines in his new op-ed is an ObamaCare repeal program quite similar to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s new plan. (Or, since Rubio’s repeating six-month-old talking points, perhaps you could say Walker is following in Rubio’s footsteps. One suspects the gentlemen from Wisconsin and Florida will discuss the matter at their earliest debate opportunity.)

Obama: ‘Medicare and Social Security Are Not In Crisis’

“Now, we’re often told that Medicare and Social Security are in crisis,” said Obama pointing out that it was used as an “excuse” by Republicans to cut spending. “But here’s the truth. Medicare and Social Security are not in crisis, nor have they kept us from cutting our deficits by two-thirds since I took office.”
