Occupy Returns to UCSD in ‘Million Student March’

The UCSD Million Students March was held in solidarity with approximately 115 campuses around the country and the University of Missouri (“Mizzou”) throughout the day. Students are also demanding free tuition, student debt forgiveness, and a $15 per hour minimum wage for campus employees.

Police: Rape, Sexual Battery at ‘Sun God’ Festival at UC San Diego

The University of California San Diego Police Department reported on Friday that one case of rape and one case of sexual battery had occurred during the university’s Sun God Festival on May 3, according to the UCSD Guardian. That followed Monday’s news of the chairman of UCSD’s Visual Arts Department defending a class in which students were encouraged to take their final in the nude, as reported by local ABC 10.

San Diego Celebrates Illegal Immigration Opponent Cesar Chavez

California is one of a number of states, including Texas and Colorado, that mark the birthday of famed labor, civil rights and anti-illegal immigration activist Cesar Chavez as a state holiday. San Diego celebrated with reduced parking enforcement and closed administrative offices, while University of California San Diego continued a year-long celebration of the activist with, ironically, an illegal alien student event.

E-cigarette Explodes in SoCal Man’s Face

A Ramona, California man smoking an e-cigarette found himself headed to the hospital after the device exploded, cutting his face and shattering a nearby display case at the Stage Stop liquor store Saturday.
