Following Twitter’s announcement that it will be closing down its video sharing service Vine, Pornhub jokingly offered to buy out the service, claiming that “six seconds is more than enough for people to enjoy themselves.”

In a letter leaked to a Silicon Valley reporter from PornHub’s vice president Corey Price to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey,  Price said that Pornhub would like to”restore Vine to its NSFW glory,” adding that clips “of porn in six seconds is more than enough time for most people to enjoy themselves.”

“We figure since Twitter has dropped (Vine) and is having significant layoffs, that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine. Not to mention we would be saving Vine gems like ‘Damn Daniel,’ ‘Awkward Puppets’ and many more,” he continued.

Reports suggest that the offer is a marketing stunt, with Pornhub taking a swipe at Twitter and their recent financial difficulties after the announcement this week that the social media company would also be laying off 9 per cent of their workforce.
