Poll: Only 14% of Americans Approve of Congress

Congress’ approval rating dropped again, down even after they struck a deal to avert the fiscal cliff.

According to a new Gallup poll, which was released on Friday, only 14% of voters approve of Congress while 81% disapprove.

Only six percent of Republicans approve of Congress while 15% of Democrats approve.

Other polls, such as the one recently conducted by Public Policy Polling, found Congress “was less popular than NFL replacement refs, root canals and Canadian rock band Nickelback.”

Gallup conducted its poll between Jan. 7-10, and the poll’s margin of error is +/- four percentage points.
