Fort Collins, CO Bans Fracking

With liberals hell-bent on stopping America from energy independence, Fort Collins, Colorado is the latest city to ban the groundbreaking energy development technology known as fracking. On Tuesday, the city council banned oil and gas operations within the city, with Mayor Karen Weitkunat stating, “We’ve had a major public outcry from the residents of Fort Collins regarding health and safety issues that go along with hydraulic fracturing, and that’s one of the responsibilities of local government is to address citizen wants and needs and concerns.”

But Democratic Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper said that he’ll sue Fort Collins. ‘That’s a taking from their own citizens,” he said.
