Gun Control Group Wants to 'Educate Women' to Oppose 2nd Amendment Rights
On August 1, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (MDA) held a rally in Denver, Colorado, as part of their effort to "educate women" to support gun control.
MDA enjoys "$50 million in financial backing from former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg."
According to CBS Denver, MDA founder Shannon Watts said her group is "training women to go toe to toe with the gun lobby in their states." She said they want to "educate women and mothers, and frankly, all Americans about where their candidates stand on [the issue of gun control]."
MDA's goal is to get "one million Americans to vote with what they call 'gun sense'" in November.
Watts said her group supports the Second Amendment, but "believes that with rights come responsibilities."
