Classless: Moore Piles on Palin During Emmy Acceptance Speech

The cartoonish, reality-deficient HBO film “Game Change” cleaned up at the 2012 Emmy Awards telecast tonight.

The film, which chronicled the addition of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to the GOP ticket in 2008, earned honors for best directing, writing and acting in a leading role.

No surprise here. The film was a partisan hatchet job, a broadly comic retelling of actual events that wasn’t actually funny or factual. Why wouldn’t far-left Hollywood toast it on the biggest night of the television year?

Julianne Moore, who depicted Palin as a child-like ignoramus with limited intelligence, a raging ego and emotional instability, kept up the project’s crude nature during her acceptance speech.

“I feel so validated because Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down,” she said when accepting her Emmy.
