Trump: GOP Must Dump 'Useless' Rove to Win Presidential Elections

Business magnate Donald Trump tweeted late Monday that if Republicans ever want to win presidential elections in the next few decades, they must rid themselves of GOP consultant Karl Rove.

“If the Republicans ever want to win a presidential election in the next 30 years they must get rid of @KarlRove,” Trump tweeted. “He is useless.”

Rove has come under fire after Republicans massively lost the November’s presidential election, despite polling and indicators from his group American Crossroads and others supposedly showing they would perform otherwise. Republican donors contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to Super PACs and other conservative political groups which failed to yield a victory for GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

In addition to Romney’s failed presidential bid against President Barack Obama, Republicans lost seats in the Senate in the election. And even though Republicans kept control of the House of Representatives, they lost several seats there as well, including up-and-coming star Allen West.

Fox News reportedly recently sidelined Rove, a contributor to the network, after the election.
