Stewart Nails Obama's Claim He Learned of Scandals from Media

One common thread in the multiple scandals hammering the Obama White House is the president’s claim that he first heard of the stories from news reports. Many find this claim to be unbelievable and are beginning to echo Sen. Howard Baker’s famous inquiry from the Watergate era: “What did the President know, and when did he know it?”

On Tuesday’s “Daily Show” on Comedy Central, Jon Stewart appeared to have finally had enough of his candidate pretending as though he only knows as much as anyone else who turns on cable news every night.

Stewart first hammered Obama for only allowing one question from the press at his joint press conference on Tuesday with PM David Cameron. He then continued with a rapid fire montage of multiple times over the past year when the President’s explanation to reporters about scandal was to claim that he first learned about it from the media.

Ultimately, Stewart concludes: “I wouldn’t be surprised if President Obama learned Osama bin Laden had been killed when he saw himself announce it on television.”
