A KFC and a Hardees restaurant were burned Friday in Tripoli as Islamists violently targeted American interests in Lebanon. The mob clashed with police, who opened fire, killing one member of the mob and leaving 25 wounded.
After Friday prayers, hundreds of demonstrators massed together to scream their protest over the Pope’s three-day visit to Lebanon, shouting, “We don’t want the Pope,” and “No more insults [to Islam].”
After burning the KFC and Hardees, the Muslims attempted to storm the Prime Minister’s headquarters at the Grand Serail.
