Charlie Kirk is a high school senior and is attending Baylor University next fall. Charlie is an Eagle scout, involved in football, captain of the basketball team, political entrepreneur, and plays saxophone. He co-founded a student led movement, SOS Liberty, located in northern Illinois. SOS Liberty has over 1,000 members, and works to educate, train, and inspire the youth of America to take action against Washington's continued disregard for the future of this nation.

I know many young conservatives all across the country that are isolated and ostracized due to their beliefs. They are portrayed as bigots, misogynists and ignorant just because they are conservative. A new book entitled Young, Conservative, and Why It’s Smart to be Like Us hopes to counter that narrative.

For decades college professors have spouted the big government doctrines of John Rawls, Karl Marx, Paul Krugman, and FDR. The professors have been and still are unapologetically socialistic, and progressive. There are many Socratic seminars (where student participation is encouraged) and those have become indoctrination sessions where liberalism is shoved down student’s throats. Plus the conservative ideology is cast out as “radical”, “hate filled”, “archaic” and “anti-poor.”

A new poll by John Zogby shows for the first time over 40% of younger voters back Mitt Romney. This number is astounding, considering President Obama has 27 million LIKES on Facebook, 18 million followers on Twitter, and is still considered to be very likable.

Time and time again we are told we need more spending and more programs to get our economy moving again. Even worse, we are given the perception most Americans want bigger, bulkier, government. The fact is the contrary is true.
