Chicago Cubs Lack Proven Southpaw in Starting Rotation

Left-handed pitchers are the Holy Grail in baseball and, unfortunately, the Chicago Cubs lack them. Right now, their projected starting lineup includes no southpaws, but the starting rotation is nonetheless deep. Despite the depth, there is a major need for at least one left-handed starter. Maybe the Cubs can acquire one before the trade deadline. It will be interesting to see how they do without a proven southpaw starter. Perhaps Wood will shine and earn a spot in the starting rotation. 12 Mar 2013

IRS May Have Awarded $500 Million Based on Personal Relationships

Issa told Wolin that whistle blowers told the Committee the Director of IT Procurement at the IRS (his name is blacked out in the letter) is very good friends with Braulio Castillo, owner of Signet Computers. ATF Wisconsin Gun Operation Loaded With Mistakes, No Oversight

The ATF has another failed gun operation on their hands. Undercover agents in Milwaukee, WI posed as store workers at a company called Fearless Distributing and ran "a storefront sting aimed at busting criminal operations in the city by purchasing drugs and guns from felons." 10 Feb 2013
