Benghazi Review Board Chair To Meet With Issa Behind Closed Doors

The State Department announced on Thursday that it had no involvement in the decision of retired diplomat Thomas Pickering to meet in a closed session of the House Oversight Committee with Chairman Darrell Issa. Pickering, along with former Joint Chiefs Chair Mike Mullen co-chaired the Accountability Review Board that investigated the security failures surrounding the attacks on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya in September of last year. 24 May 2013, 1:28 AM PDT

Why I Live in Oklahoma

"Kids learn at an early age what a storm shelter is, what a tornado warning is, and what you need to do when it happens. So they're the most prepared folks for this time of year and this type of storm activity. But when the storms happen and when they're this violent, it makes you wonder why on earth would people live here. But people do..." - Janice Dean, Fox News 21 May 2013

Andrew Breitbart On Pigford: Never, Never, Never Give In

In my observation of Andrew Breitbart, it seemed there was just one story that he could just not let go: Pigford. Years after he initially ran the investigations and interviews surrounding the Pigford scandal Andrew would still mention that it was unfinished, that the work was still not done. If Andrew and I ever crossed paths in our travels, I would always wait for Pigford to come up. He never forgot it. 3 May 2013

The Art of #War

Many people saw Andrew Breitbart as a general, a man of vision who could see all the players on the field and inspire those around him to engage. He was that, but was also more than a man who stood on the hill and rattled sabers. He was a tactician, a student, a mentor and a motivator. Among his many talents, he had the unique ability to get his friends and his enemies to sit around with some drinks and have a good time. The way that Andrew lived his life--and make no mistake, this is not a job, it's a lifestyle--reminds me of the words of Sun Tzu, the famous military strategist. 28 Feb 2013

Carney Lashes Out At Press: Do Some 'Old Fashioned Reporting'

Secretary Jay Carney responded to criticisms of the White House threatening Bob Woodward by saying that the White House and the Administration is always "respectful" to journalists trying to do their job. Carney claimed that anyone who knew the person reported to have "threatened" Woodward for saying the President "moved the goal posts" on the sequester deal would believe it was impossible the email was a threat. Minutes surrounding praising the press pool for doing their job and proclaiming "respect" for them, Carney mocked the press for complaining about access to the President and snarled that they should do some "old fashioned reporting." 28 Feb 2013

Where Are the 23 Executive Orders?

The President has found a winning formula to push through his extreme policy views: campaign, grow support, give the appearance of action and fund raise off pseudo-action. The President is now applying this campaign tactic to gun control and is working to appear to the American people that he is taking action to protect children from madmen. 21 Jan 2013

Obama's Second Term: The Long Campaign

President Obama has a long policy road ahead. After his first term of broken or belayed promises, the President now has to convince the American people -- and Congress -- that he really is serious about his policies. President Obama doesn't really sell his plans when he appears as a person who governs. Now the President has taken on the most volatile subject in America -- gun control -- so he's going to do what he does best to convince people that he knows all the answers: campaign. 19 Jan 2013
