The undercover journalist who taped Planned Parenthood’s chief medical officer discussing the buying and selling of baby body parts describes the transaction as a “criminal conspiracy.”

David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress says: “Planned Parenthood’s criminal conspiracy to make money off of aborted baby parts reaches to the very highest levels of their organization.”

He is referring to federal law and likely many state laws that make it illegal to traffic in human body parts. In federal law it is illegal “to knowingly acquire, receive, or otherwise transfer any fetal tissue for valuable consideration if the transfer affects interstate commerce.” Violating that law could result in hefty fines and even jail time.

Federal law does allow for body parts to be donated and for basic expenses to be recouped, including expenses related to “reasonable payments associated with the transportation, implantation, processing, preservation, quality control, or storage of human fetal tissue.”  The “seller” cannot charge even one penny more than these expenses. Daleiden and others believe Planned Parenthood is charging much more than for these basic expenses.

Daleidan told Breitbart News that the phony company he created to expose Planned Parenthood was modeled on StemExpress, the company Dr. Deborah Nucatola repeatedly referenced in the undercover sting video. He said companies like StemExpress are on the premises where the abortion is happening precisely so they can immediately take away the liver, heart, spleen, or other body parts they have ordered. Therefore, he says, such reimbursement for “transportation, implantation, processing, preservation, quality control, or storage” should not apply.

Nucatola said on the video that Planned Parenthood charges from $30 to $100 per “specimen” so Daleiden believes this would be pure profit and therefore illegal. It could rise to the level of conspiracy if they are working in collusion with StemExpress and others in skirting the law.

On the tape, Nucatola made it clear that Planned Parenthood is not afraid of skirting laws. She described how Planned Parenthood abortionists manipulate the unborn baby in order to deliver her feet first so as not to harm the internal organs that have been ordered. What Nucatola described is a procedure known as partial birth or live-birth abortion, something that is illegal. She said Planned Parenthood finds ways around that law. She told Daleiden that laws are up for “interpretation”.

Given that Daleiden carried out investigations around the country, there will likely be many prosecutors looking at his charges of a “criminal conspiracy.”
