A 5-year-old boy was recently brought tears when his “favorite souvenir from Disney World” was confiscated by TSA agents and thrown in the trash for looking “too much like a gun.”

The souvenir was a Buzz Lightyear toy. The incident occurred at Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

According to WWMT, Levi Zilka was elated after his uncle bought the souvenir for him during his first visit to Disney World. But when TSA agents came across the Buzz Lightyear toy in the Zilka’s carry-on bags, they confiscated it and threw it in the trash. David Zilka, Levi’s father, said, “Once he realized what was happening, that they weren’t giving his toy back, he immediately starts balling, just tears streaming down his face, crying.”

David added, “We understand that things are scary out there right now but taking a toy from a five year old doesn’t enhance national security. It was all I could do not to break down with him in that moment.”

When asked about the incident, little Levi said, “We couldn’t go on the plane yet because they said it looks too much like a gun and you can’t bring guns on the plane.” He said the part that made him so sad was watching them take it and throw it in the trash.

TSA says the agent’s actions are being investigated.
