Miley Cyrus was in damage control mode Monday morning after images posted to her Instagram page demonstrated her and a group of friends hooked up to IV tubes over the weekend.
“We got nuffffffin but love & vittys in our veinzzzz #vitaminpush, the singer captioned one of her photographs.
Cyrus and her crew apparently received a vitamin drip, but one of her fans misinterpreted the images.
Miley was quick to deny the allegations and reposted the same image, this time with her own caption: “I’m a Magnesium, calcium, selenium, zinc, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, zinc, glutathione, phosphatidyl choline junkie fooooo sho #nuttinbutvittysandloveinmyveins.”
While the 22-year-old may not be into hard drugs, she has been vocal about her passion for smoking marijuana.
“I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana – people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don’t care. I’ve seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I’ve never seen that happen with weed,” she told Rolling Stone in 2013. “As long as it isn’t illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it’s legal in the state of California. So I’m happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be.”
A few months later, Cyrus expanded on her love for the drug:
I think weed is the best drug on earth. One time I smoked a joint with peyote in it, and I saw a wolf howling at the moon. Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And molly, too. Those are happy drugs – social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You were out in the open. You’re not in a bathroom. I really don’t like coke. It’s so gross and so dark. It’s like what are you, from the Nineties? Ew.
Cyrus also made headlines in November 2013 after she smoked pot onstage during MTV’s EMAs in Europe.
The singer later put on a memorable show for her fans in Miami during Art Basel last December.
“Usually I don’t smoke weed and drink, well that’s a lie… usually I don’t smoke weed and drink on show days, but I felt like it was fine in Miami,” she confessed.
Cyrus, decked out in a silver wig and thong-baring bodysuit, then proceeded to light up a joint.
