British singer Adele won the best original song Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards on Sunday for James Bond movie theme tune “Skyfall”.
The Grammy-winning artist, who shed tears as she gave a short acceptance speech with co-writer Paul Epworth, sang the song earlier in the show in a segment paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of 007 movies.
The 24-year-old Adele managed to say “This is amazing” before breaking down early into her thank-yous and handing over to Epworth, who said he could not “really believe I’m up here to receive this.”
“You’re all amazing as well!” Adele shouted to the audience as she left the stage.
