Slovenian president surprise second in election

Slovenian President Danilo Turk, widely predicted to lead in the first round of elections on Sunday, came second by a narrow margin, exit polls showed.

Turk won 37.2 percent of the vote, behind former prime minister Borut Pahor on 41.9 percent, while Milan Zver came third on 20.9 percent, the exit poll from Pop TV showed. Turk and Pahor now face a runoff on December 2 if the results are confirmed.
