Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has a “pretty significant” concussion, coach Andy Reid said Monday.
Vick threw a touchdown pass on the first drive of Philadelphia’s NFL loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but took two hard hits on back-to-back plays early in the second quarter and left the game.
Nick Foles, taken in the third round of the NFL draft last April by the Eagles, came in, connecting on 22-of-32 passes for 219 yards with a touchdown and an interception in his NFL debut.
Vick hasn’t missed a game this season but that streak could come to an end on Sunday against the Redskins.
Reid said Vick was foggy after the game and has a headache.
The Eagles’ 38-23 loss to the Cowboys was their fifth straight defeat, dropping them to 3-6 for the season.
