Jeh Johnson: ‘No Evidence’ That Ballots Altered, Votes Suppressed in 2016 Election Hacking

Thursday testifying before an election security task force forum, former Obama Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said that he had seen no evidence that “ballots were altered” or “votes were suppressed” by the cyber attacks during the 2016 presidential election.

Johnson said, “As I sit here I know of no evidence that last year ballots were altered or votes were suppressed through a cyber attack, but last year’s experience exposed certain cyber vulnerabilities in our election infrastructure.”
