FNC’s Kurtz: ‘Many’ Twitter Employees ‘Would Love to See’ Trump Lose, Can’t ‘Divorce’ Their Actions from Election

On Friday’s edition of the “Fox News Rundown” podcast, Fox News host Howard Kurtz stated that you can’t separate Twitter’s change in tactics on President Trump’s content “from the fact that it is an election year.” And said, “I am sure many of the people who work for Twitter would love to see President Trump out of office.”

Kurtz said, “I don’t think you can divorce what’s happening right now from the fact that it is an election year. I am sure many of the people who work for Twitter would love to see President Trump out of office. That’s not to say that I think that everything they do is biased or aimed at only one side of the political equation. Now, if they were to be equally aggressive against prominent Democrats, Joe Biden just isn’t as much of a controversial force on social media, so he doesn’t get as much of this, but even other prominent Democrats, then I think they could make the case that they are being evenhanded. But it seems like the combination of the coronavirus, the racial violence and protests, and the fact that we have an election going on, has sort of made everybody intensify their efforts.”
