Country music superstar Miranda Lambert attended Sunday’s County Music Awards wearing “a tiny gun” on her pink stilettos.

New York Magazine described Lambert’s shoes as something “only the NRA could love.” But they captioned of photo of Lambert’s shoes with a more nuanced description of the footwear as “gun-slinging NRA-approved swag.”

Lambert won Female Vocalist of the Year at the awards and Vocal Event of the Year for “Smokin’ and Drinkin’.” This is her sixth consecutive year to win female vocalist.

Numerous Lambert songs revolve around guns. Songs like “Gunpowder and Lead” describe a woman using a gun to teach an abusive man a lesson.

Lambert has been widely quoted describing her love for guns. In 2014, she told the Huffington Post her father was a police officer who taught her gun safety and how to shoot. She said she “learned early on what it’s like to have a gun on the coffee table.”
