Social Democrat leader and prime minister of Sweden’s ‘grand coalition’ Stefan Löfven has announced there will now be more government “age controls” on migrant youths to crack down on adults taking advantage of the system.
Mr. Löfven is reportedly enraged by reports of a 12 year old migrant boy who ended up sharing an asylum hostel room with two adult males masquerading as children, which led to the boy being repeatedly, and “ruthlessly” raped. Calling the attacks “loathsome”, Mr. Löfven has said they represented a “wider problem” and that special resources put aside to help vulnerable youths should not be siphoned off by adult fraudsters.
The prime minister said “It is shocking that adults and children who do not know each other are placed together, in a way that allows abuse to occur. All children, regardless of where they come from, have the right to be secure”, reports Expressen.
The new plan to more carefully assess the ages of self-reporting youths when they arrive in Sweden comes seven months after the French government announced plans to measure the bones of questionable migrants to determine their true age to prevent such abuse, and after repeated scandals involving fake migrant children.
The issue of predominantly male migrant adults masquerading as children to receive special treatment from European governments has been a recurring theme of the Migrant crisis. Not only do so-called ‘unaccompanied minors’ receive preferential treatment in chances of receiving asylum papers and resource provision, but should they go on to commit crimes they are tried as children, and so receive significantly reduced sentences.
In some of the more serious criminal cases, the deceit of migrant males living, and committing crimes in the guise of children is uncovered. In the case which has so excited Mr. Löfven dental x-rays have shown one of the rapists who attacked and filmed their abuse of the 12 year old boy to be between 18 and 19 years old, as reported by Breitbart London last week. The second attacker is, despite having been accepted by the Swedish government as a genuine child at the time of his arrival in the country, thought to be around 45 years old.
While Mr. Löfven has decided to set his government to work on the problem after the rape of a migrant boy, he was not apparently moved to take action after the murder of a Swedish citizen by a migrant male fraud. Aged just 22, Alexandra Mezher was stabbed to death by Somalian Youssaf Khaliif Nuur, who claimed to be 15 years old at the time. His true age has yet to be verified.
