Oct. 26 (UPI) — Meta announced that it is launching a stock offering on Monday to raise $95 billion for building out AI infrastructure.
Meta is introducing two stock offerings, drawing interest from major tech leaders like Nvidia and AMD to invest in the company. It said the investments will support opportunities for further investment into AI as well as its existing apps and business ventures.
The first stock offering is 250 million series A depositary shares valued at $0.000006 per share of Series A Mandatory Convertible Preferred Stock. The second is $22.5 billion of Meta’s Class A common stock valued at $0.000006 per share.
“AI is creating significant opportunities for Meta across its core business and new products and services,” Meta said in a press release. “Meta’s AI investments are already generating tangible returns through increased engagement, improved advertising performance and increased monetization. Meta is also pursuing new opportunities across personal superintelligence, consumer and business agents, enterprise products, and AI glasses.”
Meta said that Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices and Broadcom have expressed interest in purchasing a total of $5 billion worth of its class A common stock. The companies have shown interest individually, not as part of a joint investment.
Goldman Sachs estimates that the tech industry could spend up to $7.6 trillion on AI-related investments through 2031. This includes investments into data centers, energy infrastructure and compute capacity.
Meta announced last week that its third-quarter revenue increased by 26% over 2025.
