Oct. 28 (UPI) — Obsession star Inde Navarrette is gearing up for her Saturday Night Live guest hosting debut.
The actress, 25, appeared with SNL cast member Grace Reiter in a teaser released Wednesday for this week’s episode of the NBC late-night sketch comedy series.
In the promo, Navarrette remains stoic during a jump scare, confuses her hosting date for Valentine’s Day, and jokingly refers to Obsession as a “rom-com.”
When Reiter asks, “In what world is Obsession a rom-com?,” Navarrette abruptly changes her demeanor, à la her character Nikki.
Obsession, a supernatural horror film starring Navarrette and Michael Johnston, has been a smash success since its release in May.
Written and directed by Curry Barker, the movie follows Bear (Johnston), a young man who wishes for his friend Nikki (Navarrette) to reciprocate his romantic feelings, with horrifying results.
Navarette will host the Oct. 31 episode of SNL, which falls on Halloween. Gracie Abrams will perform as musical guest.
