Steve Carell clashes at college in ‘Rooster’ trailer

Steve Carell to star in new HBO comedy series 'Rooster'

Feb. 5 (UPI) — HBO released the trailer for Rooster on Thursday. The show premieres March 8 at 10 p.m. EST and on HBO Max.

Steve Carell stars as an author of a series of books starring the character Rooster, so college students also call him Rooster. His daughter, Katie (Charly Clive), is going through a breakup and he tries to help.

The show is set on the college campus where she teaches. Rooster is both admired and out of touch with the students on campus.

Season 1 will be 10 episodes. Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses created, are showrunners and executive producers.

Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, Lauren Tsai, Connie Britton, Robby Hoffman, Annie Mumolo, Alan Ruck and Rory Scovel also star.
