Breitbart’s Joel Pollak at Stop Iran Rally: ‘We the People Say No’

Pollack blows shofar

Breitbart News Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak delivered a powerful speech on Wednesday at the Tea Party-sponsored Stop Iran Rally in the nation’s capitol, imploring and encouraging the American people to remain valiant in their opposition to President Barack Obama’s flawed nuclear deal with Iran.

“Happy Jewish New Year to the Tea Party” Pollak said after he blew the shofar (ram’s horn), signifying the start of Rosh Hashanah, which will be celebrated by Jewish people all over the world starting this weekend.

Pollak joined Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sarah Palin, Mark R. Levin, Glenn Beck, and many other powerful political figures who are rising up against the troublesome deal.

As a Jewish American I want to thank each and every one of you for standing up for America and for standing up for Israel… We are here not just to stop the Iran deal but to bear witness that no matter what the vote tomorrow or in the days after, we the people say no.

Pollak expressed pride in the fact that, on his way to the rally, he learned that Congressman Ted Lieu (D-CA) is voting against the deal. “There are Democrats on the right side of this deal,” he said of the decorated Air Force Veteran. “We, as a nation, should not make life or death decisions on the basis of one fraction of one party’s vote,” Pollak explained.

In his own hometown in Illinois, Pollak revealed that Congressman Dan Lipinski (D-IL), who is from a district with almost no Jews and a large Muslim population, “is voting no on the Iran deal because he’s doing the right thing.”

Pollak went on to remind the audience that despite Hillary Clinton’s empty words this morning that she would go to war to prevent Iran from going nuclear, it is critical to remember the consequences of her performance while serving as Secretary of State. “We remember what she did or did not do in Benghazi.”

President Barack Obama said we are making “common cause with the Iranian regime. That we are making common cause with people who shout ‘Death to America.’ We have not forgotten that you [Obama] sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years. And he [Wright] had a lot to say about America,” Pollak said.

In closing, Pollak reminded Americans of the power they have to stop Iran at the state level. Pollak was the first to point out that the states have the power to block significant portions of the Iran deal, whether or not it passes Congress.

The states can resist the Iran deal. Call your governors, call your state representatives, state senators and tell them to keep the sanctions in place and to pass constitutional amendments in your states to prevent your tax dollars from going to the Iranian regime.

Pollak blew the shofar a second time, explaining to the audience that just as the call of the ram’s horn serves as a reminder for people to return to their values, “We should remind this congress to return to the oath they took to the Constitution. Happy new year. God bless you.”
