CHICAGO, ILLINOIS–At a prayer vigil held Monday night, an activist leader stood on a podium and gave thanks to God for protesters’ violent “predecessors” amid support from the crowd.

That list of “predecessors” included non-violence champion Rev. Martin Luther King, plus his radical peers Malcolm X and Assata Shakur.

Shakur is a woman currently on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted Terrorist list, whose only claim to fame is being part of the 1970s terror group, The Black Liberation Army, which is reputedly responsible for the deaths of at least thirteen police officers. Malcom X was a 1960s black Muslim activist who said blacks should gain what they deserve by “any means necessary.”

The event was held after the indictment of a Chicago police officer for the October 2014 shooting death of Laquan McDonald.

The praise for Shakur came just yards away from the front entrance of the Chicago Police Headquarters on Michigan Avenue, in a moment reported on exclusively by Breitbart News

As Breitbart News has reported extensively, Shakur is a heroine of the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as of the recent student uprisings on college campuses across the country. Black Lives Matter activists often wear “Assata Taught Me” shirts and recite “Assata’s Prayer” at nearly every event. The “prayer,” a communist-themed threat of violence, can he heard here.

The police-hating communist Assata Shakur is currently residing in Cuba, safe from the normal threat of extradition.
