A newlywed man from Pennsylvania was arrested for attacking and choking his new wife only hours after their wedding ceremony, reports say.
Police in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, said that 31-year-old John Delozier and his new wife got in an argument shortly after getting home from the wedding ceremony, WJAC reported.
The honeymoon for this couple was over before it even began after Delozier allegedly became enraged when his wife insisted that they save the money given to them by well-wishers instead of spending it right away.
The wife told police that Delozier screamed that she only cares about money before he physically assaulted her.
The suspect fled the scene but was picked up later by police.
Unable to post 10 percent of his $40,000 bail, Delozier was remanded to the Cambria County Prison.
Delozier will face a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
