President Donald Trump challenged his intelligence agencies Wednesday for reportedly downplaying the threat posed by Iran.

“The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “They are wrong!”

Establishment media presented the intelligence community’s annual “Worldwide Threat Assessment” as a document that proved Trump wrong on many of his national security agenda items.

But Trump remained skeptical of their assessments.

Trump agued that Iran was a “source of potential danger and conflict” despite his decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, citing recent rocket tests. But he stated that their economy was in trouble, possibly keeping them from additional confrontations in the Middle East.

“Be careful of Iran,” the president concluded. “Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!”
