Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Thursday regarding several topical issues, including China and North Korea, the latest revelations from FBI Director James Comey, and the upcoming French election.

Said Bolton of French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron (pictured), “He is campaigning, I think the debate last night showed this, he is campaigning as the candidate of the French elite and he just scorns her supporters.”

“I mean, where have we heard that before,” added Bolton, a reference to previous remarks by 2016 Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton when she referred to Trump voters as “deplorables.”

In a moment resembling Hillary Clinton’s infamous “deplorables” comment, Mr. Macron — who currently leads Front National leader Marine Le Pen in the polls — took to the stage at a 10,000-strong rally in Paris to dub Front National the “anti-France party”, branding their supporters “fearmongerers” and “extreme”.
