Clarence Thomas Dissents from SCOTUS Skipping ‘Assault Weapons’ Case

When the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) refused to hear a case challenging an “assault weapons” ban in a Chicago suburb on December 7, Justice Clarence Thomas dissented and revealed his belief that court “precedents”‘ would have shown AR-15s—and similar rifles—are protected by the Second Amendment.

Proposed AR-15 Ammo Ban ‘Detrimental Especially’ for California

While the ATF’s proposed ban of M855 ammunition would hurt gun owners everywhere by taking away one of the most popular AR-15 rounds in the country, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reports it would be “detrimental… especially” for Californians, where Governor Jerry Brown (D) has already signed a bill banning most traditional hunting ammo.

Following reports that Ohio terror suspect Christopher Cornell bought two AR-15 rifles prior to being apprehended by the FBI, at least one news outlet is pointing out that Adam Lanza also used an AR at Sandy Hook—a firearm perfect for “spray and pray” attacks.
