Istanbul Club Shooter Wore Santa Claus Hat

CCTV footage shows that the assailant in a nightclub shooting in Istanbul wore a Santa Claus hat for part of the attack, which unfolded despite increased security measures. The footage, obtained by AP from Haberturk newspaper, shows the male assailant dressed in black and carrying a backpack as he shoots down a police officer outside the Reina nightclub.

Turkey Claims 10,000 Under Investigation for Online Terror Activity

The Turkish government reportedly announced this weekend that it is monitoring 10,000 people who they believe may be using the internet for “terror-related activity.” The report follows a week in which over 1,500 people were arrested on terrorism charges, most for links to U.S.-based Islamic cleric Fethullah Gulen.
