New York Times Bureau Chief Praises Trudeau’s Charlie Hebdo Victim-Blaming

Using her verified Twitter account, New York Times Bureau Chief Lydia Polgreen praised “Doonesbury” cartoonist Garry Trudeau’s victim-blaming attack on the 12 dead staffers at the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. “Wise, nuanced words on Charlie Hebdo from Gary Trudeau,” Polgreen wrote.

She made special note of Trudeau describing free speech as “its own form of fanaticism.”

As I wrote here, Trudeau and Polgreen prove the old adage true: when you scratch a liberal you will almost always find a fascist.

Charlie Hebdo attacked my Catholic faith just as aggressively as it did Islam. But because I am “nuanced” and “wise” enough to understand that this was a rebellious campaign for free speech, I wasn’t offended by it.

Trudeau and Polgreen prove once again that America’s true parochial provincials are primarily found within the velvet DC/Manhattan bubble.
