CNN’s Chris Cuomo, who is shaping up to be the most biased and ignorant anchorman in all of America (and maybe the free world), did his destructive part Wednesday night to further sow seeds of distrust between the Baltimore Police Department and the citizens of Baltimore. While speaking to a protestor on the air, Cuomo warned of the Baltimore police, “You know how they are.”
Transcript courtesy of CNN Commentary:
Reporting for Anderson Cooper on AC360, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo said, “[Protestors are] in the streets. They’re walking toward the cops. You know walking towards the cops in the middle of the street, they’re going to come at you.”
A protester responded, “We’re going home… We’re going home… We’re not going towards them. We’re going home. We’re just keeping peace. […] We’re splitting up.”
“Just be careful, cuz you know how they are–” Cuomo cautioned him.
“Yes, sir,” the protester interrupted.
“–If you seem like you’re being provocative towards them, you know how things can go,” Cuomo finished.
Cuomo isn’t just planting seeds of suspicion that almost always (and by design) end in black people, black businesses, and black communities being destroyed, he is outright lying. In the face of protests and rioting, the Baltimore police have shown only restraint — some would say too much restraint.
This, however, is standard operating procedure for CNN, a network that is always looking for a villain to demonize — a group to launch a divisive, us-versus-them Hate Campaign against.
Cuomo’s patronizing attitude towards this protestor also deserves comment.
In this regard, Cuomo, who was born into a Democrat family dynasty with a platinum spoon in his mouth, has distinguished himself more than most CNN anchors. Like many leftists born at the top of the mountain, his guilt towards his own good fortune of birth frequently reveals itself through a patronizing attitude towards black people. This figurative smiling and patting on the head is really is its own form of racism.
The worst example I’ve seen of Cuomo’s patronizing racism was the CNN anchor’s Wednesday morning “interview” with Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings. Through various roles and positions, for more than 30 years, Cummings has been a “leader” in Baltimore. Rather than push the now-Congressman on his failed leadership, and 50 years of Democrat-only failed leadership in Baltimore, Cuomo chose to gush over Cumming’s heroism. It was a sickening display, and not just of “journalism.”
Thursday morning it happened again. Cuomo interviewed Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Rather than ask her tough questions about her leadership and a half-Century of Democrat leadership, he wrung his hands over the use of the word “thug.”
Don’t worry, Black folk, white/born-millionaire Chris Cuomo is down with the struggle, yo.
