Vice President Biden Summons Hollywood Big Wigs to Talk Media Gun Violence
Is the Obama administration about to get tough with Hollywood on the issue of fictional gun violence. Or is the latest move by Vice President Joe Biden's gun violence committee merely an exercise in mock concern?
TheWrap.com reports Biden has asked several industry giants, including MPAA Chairman Chris Dodd and National Cable and Telecommunications Association President Michael Powell, to take part in the administration's panel on finding the root causes of gun violence.
Hollywood remains firmly in President Barack Obama's corner, and it's hard to see Biden's panel offering any suggestions that would restrict the storytelling tools at the industry's disposal.
We'll have to wait and see what recommendations Biden offers, if any, to the president on the matter.
