NBC Chicago Gives One-Sided Coverage Of Charter School Protests

On two recent occasions reporters from NBC 5 Chicago have seemingly aided the CTU in this process by refusing to expose their radical ties and report these activities as “parents and teachers,” despite the overwhelming majority of protesters being professional activists. On Wednesday, NBC showed up to cover another protest organized by these same groups, to the newly proposed charter schools. At a Chicago Teachers Union protest in November, NBC Chicago’s Charlie Wojciechowski refused to cover Chicago Teachers Union members' connection to the International Socialist Organization and told me Breitbart News was “full of s**t,” after asking him if he would do so. While a guest on a local Chicago radio show, Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) VP Jesse Sharkey was questioned over his recent participation in the Midwest Marxism conference and refused to answer why he was there and what relationship the Chicago Teachers Union has with the conference and sponsoring organization, the International Socialists Organization.
