Michael Walsh: Follow The Money – GOP Establishment Critics of Trump and His Supporters

Michael Walsh joined Breitbart News Daily host Stephen K. Bannon today to discuss Walsh’s recent, widely-read, New York Post column: Elites and media really hate Donald Trump’s voters.

One of Walsh’s key points was the “untold scandal” of how many GOP establishment critics of Donald Trump and his grassroots supporters may be more worried about their own livelihoods than the health of the Republican Party, as they claim.

In the audio, Walsh spoke of “the krack kadres of kampaign konsultants,” adding, “and I use a ‘K’ for each one of those for the clown show that it often is. Walsh said he is “trying to show that what the Trump voters are reacting to is the contempt in which they’re held by the consultant class, the beltway class, the GOPe, whatever term you want to use for them.”

In today’s interview, Walsh called a September Daily Beast item by Rick Wilson he linked in his own piece “unnecessarily brutal.” From Walsh’s item:

Their panic was best articulated last week in The Daily Beast by GOP consultant Rick Wilson, who wrote that Trump supporters “put the entire conservative movement at risk of being hijacked and destroyed by a bellowing billionaire with poor impulse control and a profoundly superficial understanding of the world . . . walking, talking comments sections of the fever swamp sites.”

Walsh attributed some, if not much, of the establishment anger at Trump to his “going around the system,” through his use of new and free media, as opposed to someone like Jeb Bush who has “played by all the rules,” yet languishes back in the pack.

As for an “untold scandal,” Walsh pointed out that the consultants so critical of Trump make a large amount of money via TV ad buys for candidates and Trumps methodology versus Jeb’s deprives them of income. “That’s the untold scandal of the electoral process is how self-invested they are in placing media buys,” said Walsh.

Walsh said that along with current trends in media with fewer people relying on television is making the consultant class a little nervous about their employment. Evidently, Trump and his supporters serve to heighten that concern.
