Man Violates Protective Order, Shot ‘Multiple Times’ by Ex-Girlfriend

On Tuesday a man who violated a protective order was found lying in the grass with multiple gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred in Lexington, Kentucky, around 7 a.m.

According to WKYT, Lexington police say they responded to a 911 call and “found the man lying in the front yard of a home in the 500 block of Kildare Court.” Police said the man “had an active domestic violence order against him, and investigators think his former girlfriend shot him in self-defense.”

The man was rushed to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Police reported the man as being “conscious, but in serious condition.” They also reported that “charges are pending” against him.
