An Arkansas woman reportedly claimed she fired a warning shot after looking out her window and seeing a teenager raping a dog.

The woman also claimed this was not the first time the teenager had assaulted the animal.

According to KFSM, 40-year-old Kerrie Lenkerd said she “took a gun from her safe and approached him and ordered him to get on the ground.” She said the boy did not comply. Instead, she said, he jumped a fence and ran away, “leaving behind some clothes and an iPad.” The woman allegedly fired a shot into the ground as the boy ran.

Witnesses confirmed hearing the gunshot and seeing the boy run.

When police interviewed a boy, he said, “Lenkerd came around and pointed a gun at him and told him to put his hands up.” He said he ran when he noticed she did not have a badge.

WTVR reported that the boy told police he ran home, changed clothes, and “told his mom a false story.” Police arrested Lenkerd and charged her with “felony aggravated assault.”
